According to this post:

http://www.archive.org/iathreads/post-view.php?id=2292

it has been over a year since we have talked about it / contacted them. I believe a re-try is probably in order. Does anyone have current mgt. contact info for them? or soundguy contact?

Plus, now that I think of it, the archive is a whole different beast from waht it was in Dec. 02. I think they would be fine, we just should drop a fresh line to the right party. I am unfamiliar with the details of Greyboy seeing them only once, so please if you have current contact info, or have an OK from them, forward that to etree@archive.org

I guess what I was asking was since Karl Denson and Robert Walter have already OK'd the inclusion of their current work in the Archive, does that also apply to the Grayboy Allstars? For example, since Karl and Robert are reuniting with the rest of the Grayboy Allstars tonight, is that show eligible for upload? If so, what about their earlier work? For example, did the Archive need separate OK's for Steve Kimock and Zero and KVHW?

Ahh, I see. Hmm, I am not sure. I'll pass this thread to Diana, she's the pro admin on this sort of thing, with the exact details, etc. Hold tight, tape away tonight though, if we get them OK'd we'll need a gang of recordings to put up.

I remember the one show i saw of them, Dec. 26, 2002 at the belly up tavern here in San Diego, CA. I don't know much about the band, but wasn't that the first of their 'reunion' tour? they did then a few shows in San Fran after that?

Regardless, have fun and we'll get their section straightened out and updated i'm sure in the next week.

Tyler

If they were totally defunct with no manager, or maybe shared mgr with one of the 2 principles, and those guys were OK with archiving, might have been OK to activate.

However, GBA do appear to be back in action (cool!), *and* I see they have a different management from either KDTU or RWTC, so like Tyler I'm thinking it would be best to get a more solid OK.

Pitch should be easy with our 2 precedents to give in example. :)

BTW We don't have any "formal" policy up for them, just observational notes from btat. Is there one?

Eric Newson is the GREYboy manager and always has been. He is the one and only person that needs to be contacted. GOOD LUCK
